Are Martha and the Vandellas still together?

A vocal girl group from the United States called Martha and the Vandellas was founded in Detroit in 1957. From 1967 to 1972, they went by the name Martha Reeves & The Vandellas. With the help of Motown, the group rose to stardom in the 1960s.

Friends Annette Beard, Rosalind Ashford, and Gloria Williams formed the trio, which ultimately added Martha Reeves. After Williams left the group in 1962, Reeves rose to become the main vocalist. The trio joined Gordy, a division of Motown, and eventually recorded all of their singles there.

Since 2010, the Vandellas have consisted of Martha, Lois, and their sister Delphine.

There is still another group named The Original Vandellas, which consists of Roschelle Laughhunn and previous members Holmes and Helton.

Martha and the Vandellas recorded in the doo-wop, R&B, pop, blues, rock and roll, and soul genres and had over twenty-six singles on the charts during their nine-year run on the charts from 1963 to 1972.

Ten Vandellas tracks, including two R&B number-one hits, made it to the top ten of the Billboard R&B singles chart, while six of their songs also made the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Hits. the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame in 2013 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, respectively, respectively, inducted a few members of the group.
