Lee Ji-eun, popularly known by her stage name IU, was born in South Korea on May 16, 1993.
She is a singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor. She began her career as a singer at the age of fifteen with her first extended play (EP), Lost and Found, after signing a trainee contract with LOEN Entertainment (now Kakao Entertainment) in 2007. (2008).

After ten months of preparation, IU made her stage debut in 2008 under the moniker “I and You become one via music,” which was created by LOEN.
