Why did Axl Rose leave the band?

After the Use Your Illusion Tour, which lasted 2.5 years, ended in 1994, Rose vanished from the public eye for a period, and the band broke up as a result of artistic and interpersonal issues. He had legally acquired the band name and was able to continue performing as the only surviving original member of Guns N’ Roses.

At Rock in Rio 3 in 2001, he made a comeback with a brand-new Guns N’ Roses lineup. After that, he continued to perform live to support the long-delayed Chinese Democracy (2008), which, despite favorable reviews upon release, fell short of the commercial expectations of the music business.

As a member of Guns N’ Roses, Rose was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012; however, he chose not to attend the ceremony and asked to be left out of the Hall. Rose partially reformed the “classic” lineup of Guns N’ Roses in 2016, the same year he embarked on a world tour with AC/DC, and has since embarked on the Not in This Lifetime… Tour.
