John Cameron Fogerty is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born on May 28, 1945. He created the group Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) with Doug Clifford, Stu Cook, and his brother Tom Fogerty.
He served as the group’s lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter. Between 1968 and 1972, CCR scored nine top-10 singles and eight gold albums. In 1993, CCR was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
