Yoko Ono, the widow of John Lennon, has been in charge of overseeing his estate for about 30 years. Ono, however, “retired from public life in recent years,” and 2017 marked her final official outing.

Sean Ono Lennon has gained charge of John Lennon’s estate as a result of Ono’s “retirement.” At the National Music Publishers Association Awards, Sean Lennon revealed to the crowd that Ono had a “illness,” but he did not provide any other details.

At eight businesses with ties to the Beatles and Yoko Ono, Sean was named director. Companies like Apple Corp., a multimedia firm, were established in 1968 by John Lennon and his bandmates Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
