Robert Allen Iger is an American businessman who is the Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger got his start in the media as the host of Campus Probe, an Ithaca College television show, in 1972.
While working as a weatherman in Ithaca for five months, he dreamed of becoming a news anchor before changing his career goals.
Iger joined the American Broadcasting Company in 1974. (ABC). His first job paid $150 per week for menial labor on television sets. Iger was the senior program executive for the Calgary Winter Olympics in 1988.
The event was marred by disruptive weather and delayed events, so Iger’s team focused on human interest stories like the Jamaican bobsled team and Eddie the Eagle to fill the broadcast schedule.
