Who are Katie Porter parents?
Porter was raised in the rural Iowa town of Fort Dodge. Dan Porter, her father, was a farmer who later became a banker. Liz, her mother, helped establish Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting.
Katie is the first Democrat to hold office in the 45th district, which includes all of south-central Orange County, including Irvine, Tustin, and Lake Forest as well as significant areas of Anaheim and Laguna Niguel.
She represents the district. In California’s recently redistricted 47th congressional district, Porter won reelection in 2022. She is running for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Dianne Feinstein, who will be 91 years old when her term ends in 2024.
