George Glenn Jones was an American country musician, singer, and composer who lived from September 12, 1931, until April 26, 2013.

What was George Jones cause of death?
According to Medical Daily, Jones passed away from hypoxic respiratory failure, which happens when there is not enough oxygen available for the body to carry out its essential activities.
Low blood oxygen levels, inadequate blood flow to the tissues, or the presence of toxins that inhibit cells from using the oxygen that is there can all lead to hypoxic respiratory failure.
Jones had to postpone and reschedule a number of scheduled gigs since he had to visit the hospital frequently during 2012 and the beginning of 2013.
He had a fever and an abnormal blood pressure reading and had been in the hospital since April 18.
