What was Chris Cornells range?

Chris Cornell possessed a remarkable 4-octave range. Chris has an excellent high mix that is well-produced and manages to keep that warmth even though he is technically a baritone due to his lower range and warm tone.

The typical baritone’s range is between 1.4 to 2 octaves, or about from an F2 to a D4. The typical range of a skilled baritone is 1.7 to 2.4 octaves or around F2 to G4 or an extreme of an A4. Chris has a dependable full-voiced A5 and a range of C sharp 2.

Additionally, he is capable of singing this in both a powerful mixed voice and a head voice. Since he is a baritone, I must admit that as a soprano, I would find it difficult. Chris’ A5s are audible even from the beginning of his career. It is a mixed voice, yes!
