With six total victories, she is the most decorated African-American and shares the record for the most film wins by an actress at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. She was named one of the world’s 100 most important people by Time magazine in 2012 and 2017; in 2020, she was rated ninth on The New York Times’ list of the top actors of the twenty-first century.
