Van Morrison is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a seven-decade-long music career. Sir George Ivan Morrison OBE (born August 31, 1945) is better known as Van Morrison. He’s received two Grammy Awards.

More than 40 of Morrison’s albums have charted in the UK’s top 40, and his records have done well in Ireland and the UK. Following the success of 2021’s Latest Record Project, Volume 1, he has achieved the top 10 albums in the UK for four straight decades.
Twelve of his top 40 albums in the US between 1997 and 2017 were among his 18 albums to do so. He has published, on average, more than one album a year since reaching 70 in 2015. In addition to being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, he has won two Grammy Awards, the 1994 Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, the 2017 Americana Music Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting, and several other accolades. 2016 saw his knighthood.
