The famous Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. is an American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He spent his first 20 seasons with the New England Patriots organization, with which he was a central contributor to the franchise’s dynasty from 2001 to 2019.
On March 13, 2022, just 40 days after initially announcing his retirement, Brady announced he would return to the Buccaneers for the 2022 season. In the Buccaneers’ season-opening game against the Dallas Cowboys, Brady became the oldest quarterback to start a game in NFL history.
In Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers, Brady became the first quarterback in NFL history to reach 85,000 career passing yards. In Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons, Brady had 35 pass completions of 52 pass attempts, 351 passing yards, and a touchdown pass in the 21–15 win.
Brady and the Buccaneers lost in Weeks 6, 7, and 8, dropping the team to 3–5. It was the first three-game losing streak for Brady since his 2002 season with the Patriots.
