British broadcaster, journalist, author, and television personality Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan was born 30 March 1965.
The Sun was where he started his Fleet Street career in 1988. When Rupert Murdoch appointed him editor of the News of the World in 1994 at the age of 29, he became the newspaper’s youngest editor in more than 50 years.
From 1995 until his dismissal in 2004, Morgan edited the Daily Mirror. From 2006 to 2007, he oversaw First News’ editorial department.
