Born on August 20, 1948, Robert Anthony Plant CBE is an English singer and songwriter best known for serving as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the English rock band Led Zeppelin from 1968 until the band’s dissolution in 1980 as a result of the passing of drummer John Bonham.
1995 saw the induction of Plant and the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
