Paul Michael Slayton, better known by his stage name Paul Wall, is an American rapper and DJ who was born on March 11, 1981.
He has been associated with Swishahouse Records for a significant portion of his career, has put out albums on the label, and has worked with many other rappers who are also labeled clients.
With fellow Houstonian Chamillionaire, with whom he co-published many albums, including 2002’s independently released Get Ya Mind Correct, he started his career as a performer.
He signed with Atlantic Records in 2005, and his major label debut, The Peoples Champ, was a triumph. Get Money and Stay True were released after that in 2006 and 2007, respectively.
