American singer Patsy Cline (born Virginia Patterson Hensley; died March 5, 1963) was born on September 8, 1932.
Cline had numerous big songs throughout her eight-year recording career, including two number-one hits on the Billboard Hot Country and Western Sides chart. She is regarded as one of the most influential vocalists of the 20th century and was one of the first country music musicians to break into mainstream music.

Virginia Patterson Hensley, the daughter of Samuel Lawerence Hensley and Hilda Virginia (née Patterson), was born to Cline’s parents on September 8, 1932, in Winchester, Virginia.
When Cline was born, Hensley was just 16 years old. Sam Hensley had previously been married; Cline had two half-siblings, ages 12 and 15, who were raised by a foster family due to the death of their mother years earlier.
After Cline, Hilda Hensley had Sylvia Mae and Samuel Jr. (sometimes known as John). Cline’s childhood nicknames were “Ginny” in addition to “Virginia”.
