However, according to credible sources, he passed on November 7th at the age of 95 in his premises at Santa Barbara, California. He passed on from natural causes per our search.
Michael Butler enjoyed international fame in the 1960s and 1970s as a producer, socialite, and globetrotter.
His friendships with exotic international characters like the Shah of Iran and the Mahajarah of Jaipur blossomed as his 1968 production of Hair became a global hit with 12 productions in different countries.
Butler included British nobility among his regular polo-playing acquaintances at his opulent polo grounds in the UK. He acknowledged that the $60 million profit from his stage production was completely wiped out by his polo expenses.
