Paul Wall’s debut album, The Peoples Champ, came out in 2005 and debuted at the top of the Billboard 200.
The first song, Sittin’ Sidewayz starring Big Pokey, reached its highest position of no. 93 on the Billboard Hot 100 and no. 34 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Chart. In the video for the second song, They Don’t Know, Mike Jones and Bun B of UGK also appeared. The Peoples Champ’s third single, “Girl,” became its most popular track, reaching a peak of no. 35 on the Hot 100.
