The American actress and singer Mariah Carey has won numerous accolades throughout her career. She won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1991, was named Billboard’s Artist of the Decade for the 1990s, and was named the Best Selling Female Artist of the Millennium by the World Music Awards.
Carey has garnered 15 Billboard Music Awards, 19 World Music Awards, and five Grammy Awards over her career. Carey was also honored with a Songwriters Hall of Fame induction. Carey was the eighth most honored recorded artist in 2014.
