Roberta Joan “Joni” Mitchell CC (born November 7, 1943); formerly Anderson, is a Canadian-American painter, producer, and musician.
Mitchell was one of the most significant singer-songwriters to come out of the folk music scene in the 1960s. She gained notoriety for her frank, unusual compositions and lyrics, which eventually incorporated pop and jazz elements.

Despite divorcing him in 1994, she married Larry Klein in 1982. Chuck Mitchell, who she was married from 1965 to 1967, is also known to exist.
In June 1965, at the age of 21, Joni married Chuck in his hometown during a formal wedding and adopted his last name.
