Roberta Joan “Joni” Mitchell CC, originally Anderson and born on November 7, 1943, is a Canadian-American painter, musician, and producer. One of the most important singer-songwriters to emerge from the 1960s folk music era was Mitchell.
She became well-known for her direct, outlandish lyrics and songs, which gradually blended pop and jazz elements. She has received several accolades, such as eleven Grammy Awards and a 1997 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Kelly Dale Anderson is the only child of American-Canadian artist Joni Mitchell. The Grammy Award winner’s daughter was born in February 1965 while she was seeing Brad MacMath, an ex-boyfriend who chose not to marry her and take on parental duties.
