Adele Laurie Blue Adkins MBE, professionally known by the mononym Adele, is an English singer and songwriter. After graduating in arts from the BRIT School in 2006, Adele signed a record deal with XL Recordings.

Adele has always loved the musics from the 40s and she loved how they did it back then. She had an opportunity to attend the BRIT performing arts school, at the age of 14. The BRIT performing arts school, had people like Leona Lewis and Amy Winehouse who had graduated from there. The school honed their talents and crafts to make them better.
Right after graduation, Adele, with the help of her friend uploaded three demos to her MySpace page, among them her first song, “Hometown Glory” that caught the attention of London record label, XL.
And at just 18 years old, and just six months Adele signed to XL and began her careerto being one of the top stars in the world.
