Catherine Bush CBE is a singer, songwriter, record producer, and dancer from England. At the age of 19, Bush became the first female artist to achieve a UK number one with a self-written song when her debut single “Wuthering Heights” topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks in 1978.
Bush began writing songs when he was 11 years old. After Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour assisted in the production of a demo tape, Bush was signed to EMI Records. The Kick Inside, her debut album, was released in 1978. Bush gradually gained artistic autonomy in album production, and Bush has produced all of her studio albums since The Dreaming (1982). Between Bush’s seventh and eighth albums, The Red Shoes (1993) and Aerial (1994), she took a break (2005).
Bush drew attention again in 2014 with her Before the Dawn concert residency, her first show since 1979’s The Tour of Life. After appearing in the television series Stranger Things in 2022, “Running Up That Hill” received renewed attention, becoming Bush’s second UK number one and reaching the top of several other charts. It also peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, and its parent album, Hounds of Love, became Bush’s first to top the Billboard albums chart.
How much money has Kate Bush made from Stranger Things?
