Helen Lydia Mironoff, better known by her stage as Dame Helen Mirren, was born in England on July 26, 1945.

She has received several awards, and she is the only actor to have won the Triple Crown of Acting in both the US and the UK. For her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen, she won an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award.

A working-class lady from West Ham, Kathleen “Kitty” Alexandrina Eva Matilda (née Rogers; 1908–1996) was the thirteenth of fourteen children born to a butcher, whose own father served as Queen Victoria’s butcher. Vasily Petrovich Mironoff (1913–1980), the father of Mirren, was born into an exiled Russian aristocratic family; at the age of two, Pyotr Vasilievich Mironov brought him to England.
