Eddie Marsan is a famous English actor who is best known for his role in the Terry TV series ‘Ray Donovan and as Mr Norrell in the drama ‘Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell’.

Edward was born on June 9, 1968, in the Stepney district of London to his parents Dennis Marsan his father and Anna Philpot his mother.
His father, Dennis Marsan, came from a modest background he worked as a lorry driver in their neighbourhood and his mother worked as a school dinner lady and teacher’s assistant.

The two trained Edward to attend Raine’s Foundation School. He left school at 16 and initially served an apprenticeship as a printer, before beginning his career in theatre.
He trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating in 1991, and went on to study under Sam Kogan and the Kogan Academy of Dramatic Arts, of which Marsan is now a patron.
