Françoise Madeleine Hardy is currently 79 years old and was born on January 17, 1944, at the Marie-Louise Clinic in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, in Nazi-occupied France during World War II. She is the first child of her parents and her mother was the single mother who brought her and her sister up. Her father was a married man who came from a much wealthier family who did little to help them financially and was largely an absent figure in their upbringing, only visiting the children a couple of times a year.
