He was a founding member of the punk rock groups Fenix TX, 30footFALL, Demasiado, and Sing The Body Electric. He has collaborated with numerous bands on stage, in the studio, and on tours. He has substituted as a drummer on tours with Blink-182.

DeLaPaz played the drums for 30 Foot Fall towards the beginning of the 1990s. He was sought out to play the drums by the band’s lead singer Butch Klotz and drummer Rubio Cisneros.
The band had developed a distinctive sound that was reminiscent of early Minor Threat or NOFX. They started travelling a lot after releasing Divided We Stand, their debut full-length album, on Fuzzgun Records in 1995.
