Christine Ellen Hynde was born on September 7, 1951 (age 71 years), in Akron, Ohio, United States. She is an American musician and is a founding member and the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the rock band the Pretenders, and one of the band’s two remaining original members alongside drummer Martin Chambers.

Chrissie Hynde had grown up beside the lovely family that had supported her all these years in her career.  She was born to Melville Grant Hynde and Dolores Hynde.

Her father was an ex-model and an employee of the Ohio Bell Telephone Company, whereas her mother was a part-time secretary and a Yellow Pages manager.

Chrissie Hynde is not the only child of her parents she has one other sibling, a brother named Terry Hynde. Terry was in a musical band called “The Numbers” and played the saxophone.
