American singer-songwriter Barry White, real name Barry Eugene Carter, lived from September 12, 1944, until July 4, 2003.
He achieved his greatest success in the 1970s, when he won two Grammy Awards, both as a solo performer and with The Love Unlimited Orchestra. His two biggest singles, Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe and You’re the First, the Last, My Everything, are just two of the classic funk and disco songs he created.

Barry was born to Melvin A. White and Sadie Marie Carter. There are presently no known details on the late White’s parents.
On September 12, 2013, he was posthumously recognized as the 2,506th star in the category of recording on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
On September 20, 2004, White was officially inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame during a ceremony in New York. By restoring White’s final vehicle for his widow Glodean, the program Counting Cars honours White.
