Kurt’s tragic flaw is his drug addiction. On February 20, 1967, Kurt Donald Cobain was born in Aberdeen, United States. On April 5th, 1994, the renowned lead singer and guitarist for the well-known alternative/grunge band Nirvana committed suicide.

Along with comrades Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl from Nirvana, Cobain was posthumously inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, their first year of eligibility.

Cobain was listed among the 100 Greatest Songwriters, 100 Greatest Guitarists, and 100 Greatest Singers of All Time by Rolling Stone.
