Drake is a Canadian rapper, singer, and actor, born on October 24, 1986, in Toronto Ontario, Canada, as Aubrey Drake Graham. He came to prominence after starring as Jimmy Brooks in the CTV teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation which aired from 2001 to 2008.
Drake followed up his acting by pursuing a career in music and released his debut mixtape Room for Improvement in 2006. The following year, he released the mixtapes Comeback Season, and in 2009, he released So Far Gone before signing with Young Money Entertainment.
