Riley B. King, best known by his stage name B.B. King, was an American blues singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer who lived from September 16, 1925, until May 14, 2015.

Many later blues and electric guitarists were affected by the complex soloing technique he invented, which was centred on fluid string bending, shimmering vibrato, and staccato plucking. According to AllMusic, King was “the single most influential electric guitarist of the final half of the 20th century.”

Reports claim he had 15 children with different women. The exact number, however, remains uncertain. Having said that. King married twice, first to Martha Lee Denton from November 1946 to 1952, and then to Sue Carol Hall from 1958 to 1966. Both marriages failed due to the high demands imposed by King’s 250 performances per year.
