Aubrey Drake Graham is a rapper and vocalist from Canada. Drake, a prominent character in modern popular music, is credited with popularizing singing and R&B tendencies in hip-hop.
Drake rose to prominence as Jimmy Brooks in the CTV adolescent drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001-08), and he then pursued a music career, releasing his debut mixtape Room for Improvement in 2006. Before joining Young Money Entertainment, he released the mixtapes Comeback Season (2007) and So Far Gone (2009).
