According to credible sources Carl Samrock, a former vice president of public relations at Warner Bros. Pictures who began his career covering entertainment for the New York Times, passed away on Saturday night (October 1st).
His death has been accompanied by floods of tributes online and many have used the platform to express their heartfelt condolence to deceased’s family.

From reliable sources Samrock died from pancreatic cancer. He made his sudden departure at the age of 81.
His wife, Carol Andelman Shamrock, verified that he had passed away today.
Under Bob Daly and Terry Semel, Samrock worked as vice president of national publicity for Warner Bros. Pictures. He started working for the company in 1982 as the West Coast publicity director.
Later, he was in charge of a 16-person team that handled the PR for close to 30 movies that were being produced or released each year.
At the time of his death in addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by his sons Gabriel (Faye Hudson) and Steven (Katsue Anzai).
