His former classmates remembered the young star on social media as word of the former Idol contestant’s passing spread.
Fifth-season runner-up On Instagram, Katharine McPhee wrote: “I just learned some really awful news. Sadly, the adorable @williespenceofficial died in a car accident.
I’m doing this for my family and I’m also doing this for my supporters,” he said, according to the local Georgia FOX affiliate WFXL.
