Quentin Jerome Tarantino is an American director, cinema critic, novelist, and actor who was born on March 27, 1963.

Unfortunately for Tarantino, criminal behaviour is not confined to his fictional characters. The director was initially detained for stealing a book from a Californian bookstore when he was younger; the book in question, ironically, turned out to be a crime thriller.

After that, he failed to pay the nearly $7000 in parking ticket charges that he had accrued. “I was literally locked up three times for tickets.

Despite not being there for that, I was overhearing some conversation. When you’re poor, serving time is easier to swallow, Tarantino fessed up. He once spent 10 days in a Los Angeles jail for the offence.
