Who is Donald Sutherland wife Lois Hardwick?
Sutherland has had three marriages. From 1959 through 1966, he was married to Lois May Hardwick in his first union. There’s currently not much information about his former wife Lois.
His second marriage, which lasted from 1966 to 1970, was to Shirley Douglas, a social democrat politician in Canada and the son of Tommy Douglas, who is regarded as the “founder” of that country’s universal healthcare system. Twins Kiefer and Rachel Sutherland are the offspring of Sutherland and Douglas.
He was honoured with both a Canadian and Hollywood Walk of Fame induction as well as a Canadian Academy Award for the drama movie Threshold (1981). He has been named by numerous film critics and media sources as one of the best performers who was never nominated for an Academy Award.
