Riley B. King, best known by his stage name B.B. King, was an American blues singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer who lived from September 16, 1925, until May 14, 2015.

Many later blues and electric guitarists were affected by the complex soloing technique he invented, which was centred on fluid string bending, shimmering vibrato, and staccato plucking. According to AllMusic, King was “the single most influential electric guitarist of the final half of the 20th century.”

Who is B.B. King’s wife Sue Carol Hall?

King married twice, first to Martha Lee Denton from November 1946 to 1952, and then to Sue Carol Hall from 1958 to 1966. Both marriages failed due to the high demands imposed by King’s 250 performances per year.

King, known as “The King of the Blues” and one of the “Three Kings of the Blues Guitar,” was elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and is widely considered one of the most influential blues performers of all time (along with Albert King and Freddie King, none of whom are related). King put in a lot of effort during his whole musical career, averaging over 200 gigs a year until he was in his 70s. 342 performances were made by him in 1956 alone.
