In 2014,  Will Clapp decided to redshirt rather than play as a true freshman. As a redshirt freshman in 2015, Clapp started each of the Tigers’ 12 games.

He had 776 total plays, was third on the team in knockdown blocks with 88, and didn’t allow a sack all season. He was a member of the SEC’s All-Freshman team in 2015.

Clapp started 11 of the 12 games he played in as a redshirt sophomore in 2016, missing one due to injury.

He took part in 648 plays, recorded 58 knockdown blocks, and went the entire season without allowing a sack.  The 2016 All-SEC football team included him.

For the Tigers in 2017, Clapp started each of their 13 games. For the second year in a straight, he was selected for the All-SEC Football Team. He said after the season that he will skip his last year of eligibility and join the 2018 NFL Draft instead.
