Eric Johnson is a 43-year-old Canadian actor best known for his roles as Whitney Fordman on the sci-fi series Smallville. He has been appearing in the HBO Max horror series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin since 2022 as a corrupt sheriff.
Johnson was cast in Cinemax’s original medical drama The Knick as a racist, but talented, young medic who is Clive Owen’s protege; the series was directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Johnson studied acting at Stage Polaris, a theatrical group in Edmonton, Canada, where he was born. In Smallville, Johnson played Whitney Fordman, a rival to Clark Kent, and in Legends of the Fall, he played a younger version of Brad Pitt’s character. Johnson played the lead in the acclaimed movie Scorn from 1994.
Johnson portrayed Joshua Steed, the anti-Mormon son, in The Work and the Glory in 2004. He played Jake Finley in Debbie Macomber’s Call Me Mrs. Miracle, a Hallmark film. Johnson was hired to voice and physically portray Sam Fisher in Splinter Cell: Blacklist in 2012.
