In Bell’s senior year, Sandy Creek defeated Ridgeland 41-10 in the Georgia class AAAA state title game.
He was regarded as a five-star prospect and the second-best safety in the nation by Scout.com and Rivals.com, respectively. Bell was given a high four-star rating by ESPN, who ranked him as the 50th best player overall in the country, regardless of position, and a five-star rating by 247 Sports.
To participate in 2013 Under Armour All-American game, Bell was chosen. On February 6, 2013, he chose Ohio State University for his college education.
