Nwosu, who appeared in 12 games during his first season, was unable to compete in the 2014 Holiday Bowl because of unidentified team rules infractions. Despite rumours that he could quit the team, Nwosu was able to enrol in summer courses and return to the squad for the 2015 season. It was then revealed that he did not enrol in the following spring semester.
