Where did Tariq Woolen go to high school?
Woolen attended Arlington Heights High School while growing up in Fort Worth, Texas. He turned down offers from North Texas, Houston, and Texas State to play collegiate football at the University of Texas at San Antonio since he was regarded as a three-star recruit.
In his first year at UTSA, Woolen redshirted. He caught 15 catches for 158 yards and one touchdown as a redshirt freshman wide receiver.
During his redshirt sophomore season, Woolen started the first three games before switching to cornerback. Having worn a redshirt his junior year, Woolen started the following year and finished with 35 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, four passes disregarded, and one interception.
Woolen finished third in the 40-yard sprint at the 2022 NFL Combine with a time of 4.26 seconds, the fastest time ever for a player over 6 feet tall.
