He played collegiate football at Boise State. During the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Buffalo Bills. The Cleveland Browns and the Washington Redskins were among Vallejo’s other teams.

He contributed to the Broncos’ 28-0 victory during that season as a sophomore by blocking two kicks in one contest. Pro Football Focus praised his quickness and capacity for play-breaking in the backfield.
