Sanjeev Bhaskar OBE is a British actor, comedian, and television presenter.

He is best known for his appearances in the BBC Two sketch comedy series Goodness Gracious Me, as well as for being the star of the sitcom The Kumars at No. 42.

Bhaskar, due to his talent, was listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy in 2003.

He attended Hatfield Polytechnic, where he did a diploma in business and finance Later, at the same school, he pursued a degree in business with marketing. Afterwards he landed his first job as a marketing executive at IBM.

Sanjeev Bhaskar was born on October 31, 1963, in Ealing, London, to Inderjit and Janak Bhaskar. Both his parents came to the U.K. after the partition of India.

Bhaskar grew up living above the family’s launderette in Heston, Hounslow, Middlesex, and was raised in Hinduism.
