Roger William Allam, a British actor, was born on October 26, 1953, and has worked in theatre, film, television, and radio.

He played Inspector Javert in the inaugural London production of the stage musical Les Misérables as well as DCI Fred Thursday in the television series Endeavour and First Officer Douglas Richardson in the critically acclaimed radio drama Cabin Pressure.
