Walker was born in Cordele, Georgia, on May 8, 2000.
At Crisp County High School, where he was a junior, he recorded 109 tackles, eight sacks, and an interception.
Prior to his senior year in 2017, Walker, a four-star recruit, originally committed to play college football for Alabama. However, in the beginning of 2018, he switched to Georgia.
