Michael Ross Schofield III is an American football offensive guard for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan.
Schofield earned the 2013 All-Big Ten Conference honorable mention recognition from the coaches. He excelled in the pre-2014 Senior Bowl workouts earning NFL Network player of the day on Wednesday, January 22. Schofield signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. He started 12 games at right guard in place of an injured Oday Aboushi.
Where did Michael Schofield go to high school?
Schofield grew up in Orland Park, IL, just over 30 minutes outside the city of Chicago. The 31-year-old offensive lineman attended Sandburg High School before committing to the University of Michigan. As a sophomore at Sandburg High School, he became a lineman. By the time he was a senior, he was a special mention in, the 2008 Chicago Tribune All-State selection. Schofield signed with Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez on February 4, 2009.
