Agnew was a cornerback and kick returner for the San Diego Toreros while playing collegiate football for them.

Agnew’s 102-yard kickoff return for the Jaguars’ first touchdown against the Denver Broncos in Week 2 set a franchise record for the longest kick return.

He scored another touchdown the following week against the Arizona Cardinals on September 26, 2021, on a 109-yard return of a missed 68-yard field goal attempt, tying Antonio Cromartie and Cordarrelle Patterson for the longest play in NFL history, at the conclusion of the first half of the team’s 19-31 loss.
