Jackson started his college career with the Florida Gators, but he suffered a shoulder injury in the first game and was unable to participate for the remainder of the year. He could utilise this year as a redshirt.
He did not go back to Florida after being cleared of charges for an armed robbery.
He eventually continued at Maryland from 2016 yo 2017.

He participated in Maryland’s collegiate football programme before signing a free-agent contract with the New England Patriots in 2018.
Jackson was a member of the Patriots squad that won Super Bowl LIII and was selected to the Pro Bowl during the 2021 season. He signed with the Chargers in 2022, after his rookie contract had expired.
